After being constantly annoyed by the way freethought blogs' new layout puts half the content and comments off the right-hand edge of my browser, forcing me to constantly use the much-hated horizontal scroll-bar, I found an easy way to correct it in Firefox. And being a nice sorta chap, I thought I'd share it.
Get an addon called "Color that site."
Restart Firefox after installing it, and navigate to any page on freethought blogs.
Click the button to start the addon, in the Tools menu. It'll open in a sidebar.
At the top of the sidebar, click "Go."
It'll change to a new menu in the sidebar. Click "Save," without making any changes.
Find a file it's created called cts1.css. In Windows, that's in C/Documents and Settings/your user-name/Application data/Mozilla/Firefox/profiles/(alpha-numeric string).default/Color that site/css. If you're on any other OS, you'll have to find it for yourself. A system-search should do the trick.
Open it in a text editor, delete the contents, and replace them with:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);
@-moz-document url-prefix(http://freethoughtblogs.com/){
.entry-content {width:600px;}
.comment-wrap {width:600px;}
.post-title {width:600px;}
}
Restart Firefox (hard refresh doesn't work) and go look at an article on freethought blogs. You should see that the content, headings and comments are substantially narrower. I chose a six-hundred pixel width because that fits them comfortably within my screen. If they're still too wide, or are now narrower than you want them, change the 600s in the above code, playing around with it until you have a width you're comfortable with, remembering to restart the browser after each change to view the effect.
Hope that's all of help to someone…

You may use these HTML tags in comments<a href="" title=""></a> <abbr title=""></abbr>

Or just use Chrome.
Grr! Nasty nasty man! Opera, maybe. Chrome, never. Never, I tell you!
Ahem.
It’s not a browser problem though, it’s a site-design fubar. Good page layouts don’t use more than 100% screen-width.
Go on. Try Chrome. It’s lovely.
You know you want to!
Get thee behind me, Satan!
Or was it “Get thee to a nunnery, go”?
Summat like that.
Daz,
Whilst looking for ‘Jesus Built My Hotrod’ video, by Ministry, I stumbled across this song ‘Jesus Is A Friend Of Mine’ by Sonseed.
Apparently it is not a parody, which aI found hard to believe.
It’s bad.
And settles for once who has the best tunes (satan.

Ugh! My ears bled!
You like a bit of rockabilly/psychobilly, if I remember rightly. Here’s one that actually sounds pretty decent!

I tried to run and hide
But Jesus came and found me
and he touched me down inside

Re: FTB
Oh Opera! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
1. Mouse – Click up arrow on status bar and select “Fit to width”
2. Mouse – Move slider left/right on status bar
3. Keyboard – Plus and minus keys
BTW, Happy New Year!
Ooh! That’s good! Thanks Ron.
And a happy new year to you and yours!
I listened to two minutes of “Jesus is a friend of mine” and I feel really, really sorry for Jesus.
Not having any problems with Freethought Blogs layout while using Firefox, BTW.
Chrome? Nah, stainless steel or polished alloy for me.
Matt black or camouflage. No polishing for me, thank you very much!
We have about 25% more firefox users than most sites. Tech savvy sites tend to have high user rates of Firefox, similar to ours (as the tech savvy crew realizes firefox is better).
